Octar XL
OCTAR XL is specifically designed for large CCTV installations
with stringent requirements for storage capacity, reliability and scalability. Fully-compatible with the Visimetrics family of digital video recorders, OCTAR XL offers all the features of the OCTAR System Plus range with increased capacity, rack mount format, server operating system and optional system redundancy configurations.
High capacity hard-disk recording removes the need for daily change of tape or media, and means that images recorded a few minutes ago are as instantly accessible as those recorded many days or even weeks ago. In addition to RAID options which provide hard disk redundancy, Visimetrics offer mirrored or cascaded options as these provide full-system redundancy.
OCTAR XL has 16 camera inputs one audio input, 16 alarm inputs and 4 output relay contact, one of which indicates video loss. Multiple base units can be seamlessly networked together. The switched video output (spot monitor) allows live viewing of any camera even from multiple recorders, either locally or across a network. Comprehensive security features include user logon, file encoding, protected system log and a detailed automatic audit trail system. OCTAR XL is designed for use with the Visimetrics CONTROL STATION which provides for control, setup, replay and archiving of recordings to CD.
